I have had no dust on my sensor since switching the anti-dust on at start-up. Before that I had it turned off, and experienced a lot of dust and had to resort to wet cleaning.
Conclusion = Switched on,something is working

I'm the same with my K20......I have anti dust on all the time!...and I've had no problems at all with dust..........I think my old DS was a dust magnet,I was forever cleaning it out with the butterfly!........I never use a blower, since blowing a load of muck up inside the viewfinder on my DS!......

Once a bit of dust settles on your sensor, it will tend to become more firmly attached the longer it remains.
Even particles that are loose enough to be removed easily by a blower are not moved when my camera shakes the sensor.

Not moved a millimetre. None of them. Ever.

Could you give a link to this butterfly gizmo? My sensor needs a clean!

Thanks, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I've noticed that the shake, rattle, 'n' roll routine seems to help a little. Case in point, after shooting at the beach sky areas showed a fair number of dust-bunnies, presumably because I'd changed lenses out there in the open. Pictures taken later showed fewer, just a couple "old friends" who're just a minor nuisance. I suppose the shake routine - on each startup, had done its job.

One day I've got to clean the sensor.... but at the moment I've only got a couple which look like ghost worms, easily brushed out in editing.
