This is , as you can see, via P'bucket, the "old fashioned"way.

Thats a cracking photo

It's a good capture but slightly let down by a bit of back focussing. The far wing is the sharpest part of the image when ideally the dragonfly's head would be. Whether the back-focussing is a lens issue and needs adjustment or more likely a hard to photograph subject without scaring it away with a heavy lens only you will know; it might be worth checking the calibration however if other shots exhibit that too.

I think the focus is down to me! With a focal length of 500mm, from about 5 foot away, it's pretty critical!
I would say, however, that on an A4 print I wasn't exactly displeased with the sharpness of the image overall!
