Down by the sea again

The Mrs and i decided to head down to Aldeburgh this evening for some fish & chips & i thought it would be rude not to take the camera.

This shot was taken using the k5 & sigma 10-20mm at 10mm. Also used was an ND0.6 hard grad & coral 3 hard grad

I love the overall effect, but the pebble in the bottom left hand corner is a little distracting; it looks a bit unnatural.

Thanks. Yeah now you come to mention it I'm not so sure about that. May have to do something with it!

I have to agree - that was the first thing I noticed. However it is an excellent shot. Shutter speed and composition are on the money.

I agree with Bob and Father Ted. I think the combination of filters has produced an unfortunate effect on the pebbles in the foreground, but the composition and choice of shutter speed are excellent.

I would be tempted to try and re-shoot it without the filters, or with just the ND Grad.

There are two pictures in this shot, to my eye. Either there is the sky and the groyne with a bit of beach, or there is the sea and the pebbles (including the original one). To see what I mean crop the image into two square images, one of the top half, one of the bottom half (they will overlap a bit of course).

The bottom square image with the original pebble is quite a nice abstract shot, IMHO.
