Couldn't agree more. I don't mind shooting in the rain at all. I hate the cold though, but will put up with it when it's snowing

The light is wonderful in the rain and the colours glisten with a unique vibrancy.

Mud has to be good for cameras and lenses, as my wife uses it on her face - and she's always far more beautiful afterwards!
