Do you work as a photographer?

Everywhere I go I seem to come across wedding/portrait photography studios set up in shops on the edge of the town centre. I can't imagine these are all just vanity projects subsidised by the other partner's income, although I can imagine it's a difficult business to keep going. You could say the same of a lot of trades these days though.

I agree that it is possible to earn in photography whether a professional or amateur. There are contests that accept entries from amateur photographers and prizes there can be money.
I just do it for pleasure and for memories.
