Do we need full frame and to much resolution

I assumed I'd never need all 24 megapixels of the K3, just something to fill my SD cards faster. That was until I stuck a half decent bit of glass in front of it. Sigma 50mm 1.4 is really sharp, and the K3 pics it up really well.

I have an Estwing hammer and I must admit it is great, but it is wasted on a Plumber

I had an Estwing hatchet once, horrible thing, I threw it away!
I prefer those "crinkly" nails anyway, the ones with the cross on the top...

The first part of your comment is correct. The second part is not.
For Example, a 300mm Tele lens will show as much detail in its APS-C section taken with a full frame camera. Always assuming the Amount of pixels has increased to the same extend as the size of the sensor.

Obviously the FF lens is almost always better in the centre than edges and therefore provides its best performance in the APS-C image circle. But any APS-C lenses 'designed for digital' might be able to resolve more detail, and for the same focal length/max. aperture combination could be significantly smaller/lighter/cheaper than FF equivalents.
