Do I need video?

I used to shoot video using an almost pro grade Sony Video 8 system.

But I have not taken any for more than 10 years.

I think the novelty of moving pictures wore off.

So far the result seems to be I don't need video.

Come to that not many that have it on their cameras use it, not regularly at any rate!

Thanks guys, I'll just keep saving until I find the right new body for me.

I think the problem is that the development is quite new and not many here bought a DSLR because it can take videos, also I think many have problem giving that function a place next to photography.

The holiday to Austria is already booked for me.
I hope I've the K5 then so I could film the scenery globally to give an overview and then with photos go into the details that stills provide.
