Apart from the 150-450mm and 560mm Pentax lenses there are third-party options, plus on this forum there have been several opportunities to buy longer lenses.
Most of the really long lenses are silly prices anyway, apart from the Pentax 560mm which is actually quite low priced compared to other marques. Those who can spend £10,000 or more on a lens might well look elsewhere, but the rest of us are quite well catered for.

My understanding is that the lens covers the FF image circle. The K1 manual lists it together with the DA*200 and DA*300 as having lens correction information in both FF and crop mode.

another user here frustrated with not being able to get a good 600mm lens from Tamron or sigma for wildlife to fit pentax, yes the 300 + 1.7 converter works well but it takes some work to get the focus right.

Being a keen bird photographer i feel frustrated that i cannot buy a telephoto lens with a longer reach than 300mm from Pentax i know that a 450mm zoom is available but at 2000 pounds this is out of my price range .Can you make a 50-150mm tele lens for about 900 pounds so that i can keep my excellent Pentax Cameras
