If you use Windows, you can try FastStone Image Viewer http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm If you use Linux, you can go with Geeqie or darktable.

The software that came with the K20 perhaps mate? The dng extension is the standard adobe raw format so I'd say any adobe product will work pefrectly, I can recomend Lightroom just to name one, hope this helps Nadeem.

Set the camera to save as RAW+ - which will give you a DNG or PEF along with a JPG. You can also set the resolution and compression of the JPG.
As this is a second hand camera, did you do a full reset when received? It may have non-standard settings that the previous owner worked with and may not be right for you.

You can download a RAW thumbnail reader from :-
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=26829
It won't help you process the pictures, but it will enable you to see them within whatever folder you've stored them in.

No, there is a "trick" that another member pointed me to. Get a USB/pen drive and give that drive a specific name (cannot remember what - but a search back to around January will find it) and have that inserted when running PDCU4 set up.montyaus wrote:

That's probably an upgrade/update version and you'd need the original CD or serial number to load it.You can go to the Pentax Web site and download Pentax Digital camera utility 4.
