Hello

I'm looking for the sigma 100-300mm f.4, but how many different versions are there ?

Is there an APO and a non-APO ?
or is it only HSM/ non HSM ?

From the sigma homepage:
APO 100-300mm F4 EX DG HSM

And from ebay/sigma4less:

Sigma Zoom Telephoto 100-300mm f/4 EX APO IF
Sigma 100-300mm f4 EX APO IF HSM

Are we talking about different versions ?
K10D, Pentax 18-55mm, Pentax 50mm f1.7 M, Pentax DA* 300mm f4, Da* 50-135mm f2.8, DA* 16-50mm f2.8, Tamron 28-70mm f2.6-f2.8

The latest one is APO 100-300mm F4 EX DG HSM

Earlier versions would be APO 100-300mm F4 EX HSM - (non-DG, i.e. missing additional glass coatings for digital sensors))

However, none of them will have HSM for the Pentax mount as (so far) sigma haven't actually shipped any lenses with HSM (SDM in Pentax speak) for the Pentax mount. Some are on the way, but AFAIK they don't include the 100-300mm.

Earlier version (which I have and love)

Sigma Zoom Telephoto 100-300mm f/4 EX APO IF

Replaced by:

APO 100-300mm F4 EX DG (which is even better apparently)

Stonking lens, but BIG
