Assume it's the same procedure as the 150-450mm.
Unscrew the knob
Push the knob in
Simultaneously push the whole foot towards the front of the lens and it will come away.

Spot on, that worked and discovered the issue is with a broken part within the foot

Just ordered a replacement foot only ( collar not needed ) from SRS,
I'd forgotten I'd had their rewards thingy from a previous purchase, prob my K3iii and that reduced the foot replacement cost from £69 to just the postage, special order but should arrive the middle of this month

Can anyone advise please how to remove the foot from a DFA 70 - 200, its been loose for a while and I wish to see if it can be tightened up even with the foot screw fully tight.
Any suggestions / advice gratefully received
