Like em!
Different, ND's giving some interesting colour phases and quite nice vignettes, sort of dreamy looking, almost surreal but not overly done, I have no shots of these Carl and I pretty much live there!

These are beautiful Carl. I particularly like #3 where there's a hint of a shaft of sunlight striking down from the clouds to the water. They all have glorious colour rendition.

Agreed, all beautiful! Colours and tonal balance are all top notch ... Even the cloud shadow levels are spot on My favourite is the last, because its darker in hue and and the extensive shadow zones all throughout invite exploration and add mystery.
The compositions are unusual really, with mainly centrally located foreground 'interest' ... I can't decide if it works better than a more classical style, (ie with the stuff off towards the edge more) our not. I think the main issue is perhaps the very tall post smack in the middle ... Not sure about this as it is right in front of the main line of sight into the scene?? Be interesting to get others take on it.
But a spectacular set Carl, great work!

Super set, lovely colours and good foreground interest throughout - nos. 3 & 4 are the standouts for me.

Thanks for your kind comments guys - much appreciated.
Nigel - the unusual compositions are deliberate - I have photographed these a number of times over the past few years and was trying to do something a little different. In this respect, I think I achieved what I set out to do - whether they work or not - I will leave up to 'the viewer'

All taken last Sunday in the late afternoon sun on the K5IIS and Sigma 10-20.
The low sun proved challenging in controlling flare and sunspots even with stacked nd grads
As always C+C welcome
