Delivery Man

So ... lately I've been experimenting with hyperfocal shooting with my Tamron 17-50 set on 17mm and f5.6 and focussed to 3m. This results in everything more than 2m away from me being in focus, which is handy for shooting from the hip.

This was on a gloomy day, in TAv mode and centre-weighted metering, which resulted in an underexposed ISO 1250 shot. Pushed at least a stop in PP, so it has become very noisy (my god I'm looking forward to getting a K5!). Camera was hanging by my side, I just pressed the shutter with my little finger as I walked past. No idea who he's smiling at

You're probably better looking than you think.

That has worked well. The angle makes the shot.

Like it Tim, the grain is fine & gives it that quickly snapped look, not posed. If it had been taked a split second later the framing of the door around the delivery driver would have made it superb...

Great capture of teh delivery driver smiling though...

George nailed it I think Tim - the angle does it. Along with the processing.
