The popup flash on my mz5 recently failed, I had been using the af280t I use with my LX on it when I needed more power, when it failed I serched all over the net to see if it was a common fault and found that older flashes can damage the circuits on newer cameras, I don't know if this was the problem in my case but if anyone out there is doing the same it may be a ticking time bomb so check it out before you damage something.

Its not all bad news for me though instead of repairing the popup I bought a Sigma ef500st and love it, just turn it on and away you go, 48 exposures at a party on the weekend and all spot on, and plenty of life left in the batteries too, its all good.
