Out of all them, I like the third the most. After taking it all as it is, I'm thinking that they're all a bit too "bright" for my tastes. But that's me, I've always associated decay with darkness, as such I would probably try to make my photos look sombre in post processing, if I had the chance to take photos of those places!

From your photos, I wouldn't change a thing Blythman, it shows your work process as a photographer and I like it how it is.

No Will. Wouldn't know where to start . Single exposure, tampered with in Lightroom

Nice images, but I too would prefer them darker.

Wow! None of them in HDR? I seriously thought some of them were.

Grim, 2 & 5 are my favs, actually I like the brightness - for me it reinforces the sadness of the scene, a dark and sombre image is what one would expect but in your pics the colour does not detract from the sense of decay, rather it adds to the poignancy (IMHO).

B&W ?

I knew things were bad in Blyth Alan but it seems its far worse than I imagined.
It makes for good pictures though, so well done on this set. You really have nailed the vibrant colours.

I think these capture the theme pretty admirably! I think the one which has the most impact for me is the second one... I think this is because the subject includes aspects of 'foodstuffs' which gives an extra 'ick' factor. I like the angle on the 'Woman's Own' picture as well. A good set overall

Cheers Geordie, I shot these with a club comp in mind. At the moment, I think I have stronger B&W contenders. Check out my gallery. Not to say I won't convert in the future though

Interesting set .. I really like the chair and looking through the window shots. These actually look prime for playing around with HDR and/ or B&W !
