The original was noting to write home about - such plain little creatures house flies. I felt he needed a little help to compete with the fully blinged-up blue bottle and his home-boy hover fly. Flash gits.

So I had some 'fun' turning him into a record sleeve whether he liked it or not...
He did actually live to tell the tale... right up to the point when my dog jumped up and ate him, ha ha.
