Here, here! Welcome Darryl. I look forward also to seeing your photos. Since I have no macro experience maybe I can learn a thing or two from you.
You've certainly come to the right spot - wonderful people here.

I gladly welcome C & C's. Being foggy minded they really help me learn.

Welcome Daryl.
I don't have an LX, I have a lot of others but no LX, still..
They tell me the K7 is a superb body, maybe that would fit nicely alongside your LX.
No doubt somebody else around here will disagree.

Hello all,
Thanks for your warm welcome. I look forward to reviving my LX once it's back from being CLA'd. If you see someone lying on a grassy field, pointing a load of kit at small insects and flowers, that'll be me and my macro.
Regards,
Darryl

If I find any bent spoons around here, should I call you?

i-Berg, you may want to start worrying if you find straight spoons in your drawers, as I missed the spoon bending class.

I'm a self-employed hypnotherapist who enjoys nothing more than slinging my trusty LX with it's immovable 50mm 1.2 over my shoulder, stuffing some 3200 in my pocket and going out for a spot of terrorism....I mean photography.
I live in Brighton and it's pretty much been photographed from every angle for the last 100 years, so I enjoy looking for new ways to see old things - an especially good quality if you ever fancy becoming a therapist. I also want to learn more about macrophotography and i've got a bellows with a 28mm 2.8 (reversed), a ring flash and a lot of patience for making small things look big. I'm not quite there yet but that's okay.
I don't yet have what I call 'the perfect set-up' because Pentax seem to want to keep me dangling in anticipation of them making a camera body which is as well thought through as the LX is. Perhaps you'll be able to help me find 'the one' but until then, my LX is winging it's way to Protech next week for a full CLA and once it's back i'll be avoiding the bluebells while trying to capture their joys.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Darryl
