Nice detail, but which FF? Has someone converted a DA to Canon mount or suchlike?

Did you look at the photos? The first one gives more than a hint at 'which FF', it actually shows you which camera was used.

Image IQ looks superb, albeit with some purple fringing. That adapter is surely going to influence the effective focal length, isn't it? It looks like an extension tube/TC.

If it's the A7r, the adapter is like an extension tube (no glass) which just puts the lens in the correct position relative to the sensor (i.e. same distance as it would be on a Pentax DSLR). Therefore no change to the focal length.

IQ is good -- let's credit the correct lens: the FA31!

I'm not sure I'd want to lose the other features of this lens, though, by sticking it on a metal tube. Too much unnecessary faff - even if such faff was once part of the experience of photography. The lens deserves a Pentax FF, with all it's contacts enabled

Exactly! The point of the thread, to give us a taste of what might be to come

I'm forming the opinion, without any real evidence, that 'what might be to come' may actually come true. These are excitging times in the development of digital photography with different manufacturers developing their own niches.
