truth is, you could take a peice of dung, stick a canon lens on it and send it in for a review.
I'd love to see them tap dance around that!
"The newest canon model, the dfik8, is ripe for the fertile mind! Fits warmly in the hand and has Royale written all over it! Now then, let's focus on the lens which is classic Canon!" blah, blah, blah....
If the reviewer called it what it was....the editor would have his head.
you'll accept that somebody has to lose, and it's usually the company with the smallest ad budget.

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

And they are busy spending their money on R&D for features we actually want and need that the others don't have, and then keeping the price of their best glass affordable.

Sigma zoom is really a great zoom. Da* 50-135 is stronger in the contrast and saturation department.

Hi All,
Tell me its not true.
Just got latest Digital Photo magazine.
It has a lens review of telephoto zooms.
Mostly 70-200mm and the new Pentax. I've seen other peoples comments on this lens and they are blown away, and with the mag it only gets:
3/5 for image quality
3/5 features & build
4/5 performance
4/5 value for money
compared to the Sigma 70-200 (which I was also looking at)
4/5 IQ
4/5 F&B
5/5 P
5/5 VFM
I'm confused!
Or is this just magazines talking?
Regards
ali
It's my favourite lens and I can use it in heavy rain!
Also, on the K200D review summary shows image quality as 2, but the main test as 5! Where is the mag's QA processes?!
Interesting to note of the D60 it has 3 point auto focus, all of them of the cross type! Big deal, the Pentax has 9 cross types! What a balanced article!
Just had to see for myself, I won't stray again!
