Hello and welcome,
the problem you are going to hit with old wide angles is that they are generally not that wide on crop frame DSLRs like the K100D. You've got to get down to 20mm or shorter to give yourself any sort of wide perspective with the K100D, and in old lenses that's very hard to do.
I believe there was a K series 15mm, but these are rare and expensive.
You are probably better off going for something modern like the Sigma 10-20 zoom.

In the Pentax ranges of lenses, old + wide = expensive. Even a 20mm lens, which would be considered wide on a FF film camera, equals 30mm on a DSLR. Not very wide.
By far your best option is a modern zoom. Consider the Sigma 10-20mm, Pentax DA 10-17mm Fisheye (if you like the fisheye perspective), or the DA 12-24mm.

I guess lens design has moved on a lot in that time comparing its bulk my DA 16-45mm F4, the front element looks more like a light bulb so you could only use the internal filters. It gave excellent results with the LX but not so impressive with the *1stD or K10D, I much prefer the results with the DA 16-45mm.
I have often wondered how much its worth now (not that I plan on selling it) I can not remember how much I paid for it new but I think it was one of the most expensive lenses in my collection.

The SMC Pentax 15mm f3.5 was around £1300 I think and when I bought one a few years ago (used) it cost £425.
I think the A version would fetch a higher price, but the K version I would expect to go significantly over £200 on eBay.
It's a great lens for film, based on the original Zeiss design, but for dogital I am sure there are much better ultra-wide lenses.

I've looked at some full-resolution raw's from the K15 and they were very soft in the corners. The 16-45 @ 16mm looks considerably better and would be a lot cheaper
I have quite a few classic wide-angles and they all suck on digital (generally all a bit soft). That's why I sold my A20 recently, the DA21 is so much better (& smaller). However, I will probably live to regret this when the Pentax/Samsung full-frame body comes out next year

I haven't done much posting on here,had problems loggin on. Anyways the revamp of the old site seems to have sorted things out.
I've been on the look out for a while now for a nice old wide angled lens for my K100D,was kinda hoping somebody on here might point me in the right direction regarding whats out there at the moment,thanks for looking.
