Hi Lilly,
I just checked it on my pc. If i open a photo in bridge and i go to the tab
iptc core i see that the fields are all editible.(small pencil sign)
But........,As my Raw converter is L.R. and in that program i submit the metadata, i reckon that bridge has no problems to read it. Both beeing Adobe products. Did you put in the metadata at the raw processing stage?
Under Edit-------->Preferences you find a lot of info about the possibilities and choices.
Hope it helps,
Martin

Thanks for replying, but I can't see why I should have to edit that field in Lightroom to transfer it across to Bridge.
I did apply the metadata info to the file at its RAW stage when I import from memory card.
I am aware of setting the preferences and I have discovered the only way I can edit this particular field of 'copyright status' is to:
File
Info
Description
and set copyright status to copyright instead of the default of 'unknown'
I can of course do this as a block change to a folder
but I think is real strange that I should have to do this in this extra way through File etc..
rather than like the rest of the editable fields that have a little pen beside them.
Seems it is just one of those things that Adobe have done for reasons best known to themselves.
Cheers anyway
