Can this picture work being this soft. It was a bit out of focus, and I wanted to save it anyway...so I thought perhaps a little blurr around the edges could do it.

Looks like you’re having lots of fun with the K-M

1
Good reflection but I think it needs some colour

2
Perfect just needs the blemish near the eye removed as it pulls the viewers eye to it.
Very easy fix to do and you’ve then got a stunningly beautiful shot.

3
It works, but I’d like to see the full image. I suspect she’s displaying some attitude with head position ECT.

4
Very nice mother and child image. Good idea to blur the edges.

Very brave to post such personal photos.

Of the first photo, I liked to original better of the last one to be honest.
The crop was a little bit to tight but the lost of colour was okay to me though.

The second one is very nice and you nailed it with the edited version.

The boots work well so, maybe taken just a little bit of the leftside might help with the compisition.

The last photo is great and yes they don't need to be sharp so don't worry.

What can I say JudithAnn
with the Blemish fixed it's a one in a million shot in my view, perfect.

Don't children show use teriffic expressions.

Now i've seen both, I think I'd go for a colour pop. Keep the little one and reflection in colour and background as the first post. That will give it some punch. Thats just a creative opinion. Its something to try and also practice editing with.

I agree with Stefan very brave posting such personal photos.

I agree with Stefan very brave posting such personal photos.Paul[/quote]Personal???? Are we speaking of the baby suckling on it mommy...or the toddler dressed only in boots?

I feel that a nursing pictures is very natural...it's done world wide by all mothers and babies...again here in Canada this is very acceptable for mommies to nurse thier children...public and private.

On the other hand it is recommened that our 1 year olds wear more then just boots!

Sometimes being right isn't enough.
the problem lies in how far somebody who disagrees is willing to go....

Oh no Judith that isn't it, the photos give of a feel that you're close to them, that they are important in your life.
They also give of a warmth that feels really good but seems not attent for us... do you get what I mean?

Interesting read and I'll read the rest of it in a moment.

I know what you mean Don but with this subject it's quite hard to come up for yourself if you disagree.
If you agree that such photos shouldn't be displayed it's simple, the word pedophily is close at hand to push any one that isn't sure to the agree side.
It's simple the fear that drives people, they want to protect their childern. The only question is what are they protecting them from?
Then also comes the question at how much the childern know what they are doing and if they want to do it, this the most important one in my eyes.

Baby photos are surely no problem but then there comes an age when it becomes questionable, around 5 or 6 year I would say. Not that it's wrong... it's just that when they're adults and you asked him "do you think it was alright that nude photos of when you was a child were displayed?". He needs to answer that with a yes or elses something is wrong in my eyes.

For those when handel child nude photography in a good and caring manor I don't think it's wrong. That art from Betsy Schneider was taken fromthe walls is ridiculous in my eyes. I believe she knew full well what she was doing and didn't want to harm her child in anyway, such thoughts weren't even behind it. But those who look at it and think about pedophily are the ones that are wrong, they're the ones that don't understand it.

*sighs* I hope my rant is readable for everyone

Edit: sorry that I went of topic Judith, I hope you don't mind... Maybe we should make a topic out of it in another place on the forum if we gonna talk more about.

I have to walk a careful line here. I generally don't shoot nudes. People need to know there is a risk. Parents have been arrested for having photo's of thier kids....even pro photographers.... art and politics...Dangerous waters. swim in shark territory, and you might get bit. that is all I'm saying.
