Nice captures Ted, I like the composition of two and three

Ted, is it me, or you set up your gear (or processing software) to higher than default saturation levels (vivid colours)?
My favourite is no.2 - with the water flowing down the waterfall, nice place. Probably it would look even better with blue sky (CPL filter?) - but it is beautiful anyway.

Love no2, looks very peaceful and serene.

I love looking at these old English houses and castles, fascinating.

So is this a private residence: or a museum of some kind.

The second picture is lovely, somewhat over-vivid but a nice composition.

I have manually increased the saturation ( quite a bit ) as the sky was grey overcast and although it was quite bright, the colours were a bit dull. Do you think I've overdone it?

Clarky, it was a private house, but it is now in National Trust ownership. Museum, is probably not the right word, but it is close enough

I thought that the first picture was an HDR composition at first glance, but (should probably be "and") I like it a lot.

Honourable Father - I like them all. We're off to Northumberland in June so this looks like a place well worth a visit, especially as we are NT members. Never been up that area before so looking forward to it already. Any more shots? Did you go to the Farne Islands?

Cragside is well worth a visit, but it is huge! The house is nice, but for me it was the grounds. It needs more than one day to get around it all, which was a shame as we only found the place on our last day there.
I got to Lindisfarne whilst I was up there, but have very few useful shots, the weather was appalling ( rained every day ).

It's only taken me since last August to sort through these . If I find any more useful ones I'll put them up on here.

Not really, I liked the colours, esp. on first 2 pictures. I just noticed that they looked more vibrant than colours on pictures I take Still, I must admit I love the colours I get straight from the camera (K20D) - they are a bit similar to what I used to get on Fuji films. I never liked Kodak or Konica colour cast; Fuji was my favourite (I think it is something about green and yellow going there) - and it is similar on Pentax.

Before I read the other comments, I thought that 1 and 2 are a little over saturated. I had a play and prefer No1 with a little less blue and yellow.

I tend to see in primary colours, ask the Mrs..I don't do subtle.
That's why she chooses the colours for the house, and I put them on the wall. God only knows how the house would look if we did it the other way around

No 2 Favourite and then No3, but all very good shots Ted
