Is it a bit like car body filler?

Thanks, I'll get some to sort a small car problem. I had a leak from my rear screen washer, all the water running down the inside of the glass. A little plastic nipple to which the hose attaches had broken off. The part that it has broken from is bonded to the glass! So almost £200 for a new rear screen seems out of all proportion to the cause of the problem. Milliput might just do the trick.

I'd love to know how to keep a hood intact - I've not dared take the one for my 12-24 anywhere except locally as I can't see how to prevent it getting potentially squished / broken in transit, even with a padded camera bag...?

Maybe I will steal a tupperwear box from the kitchen...
I just reverse mine (the 12-24) on the lens and stuff it back in the bag. Had it a year and a half with no problems. I am careful about yanking it back out of the bag though, making sure it hasn't caught on anything.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
