Cornwall in November

A few from this week. Not going to win any prizes with these (Mrs RobL banned a tripod on this trip) and I didn't get the sunset I was hoping for but on the last day the light was fleetingly wonderful.

There's a real feeling of power coming through the waves in no.4 that I find very effective. The last one, too, I like, even though it's a bit on the dark side.

Thanks both. JanM, I am flattered that you were moved to make this your first post! John, that wave soaked my feet but being a true pro I carried on snapping! Also the last one was taken after the sun had gone down and I tried to convey how it actually was; not having a tripod I rested the camera on a handy post.

I get round the tripod problem when traveling by using a fairly flimsy one that extends to 4ft but packs into 1ft - unfortunately for this site, it's branded Nikon

These pictures just get better as you scroll down them!

The sand bank on #1 just to the left of the 2nd headland, is called " Doom Bar " a beer of the same name is made by Sharps based in Rock

" A Hangover is something that occupies the Head you neglected to use the night before".
