I have a folder with a lot of raw ie dng files. Is there a quick way to convert them to jpeg so I can look at them as thumbnails.

Am I correct in thinking you have Lightroom? You should be able to see them in there.

I have got Lightroom (Ver 3) Barrie but to be honest I've never really got on with it. There's over 160 files I want to skim through quickly and probably delete 90% of them

You can view .dng (and .PEF) files in Irfanview too. Free to download and you can skim through photos pretty fast with it. I use it on both the netbook for checking photos whilst on the move and at home where it is my viewer of choice.

Thanks for reminding me of that program Gwyn, I used to use it pre-photo days, I'll put it on my netbook.

I use Faststone for browsing. You can view your RAW files as thumbnails on it and its free to download.
