Taken today (30/10/09), at the Heron Tower, Bishopsgate.
I'm not sure what is causing a weird, pale yellow cast in this, but what the hell, its not in the original.

Looks like he is scaling the ramparts of a great castle. Superb choice of angle Paul.

Nice shot! (What the hell is that guy doing? Is he sitting on something?) Love the tones in the glass.

Great shot!
It still works (for me) when cropping off the top (construction) bit.

Peter, Tim and Ralf, thanks.

Tim, he's cleaning the surfaces with a spraygun, in preparation for the outer layers no doubt. I'm wondering if this surface represents solar panels?

Here is another shot, Ralf.

Like them both - but I think I prefer your second, tighter shot.

Aiki and Mhuni, thanks.

Mhuni, the first shows more of a context really.

That certainly is true, but that missing context makes the second one a bit more intriguing.

Having said that, what I do like in the first shot is the feeling that the figure almost walks on a horizontal plane. Then your eye is wandering up in the shot and the plane becomes more and more vertical. But it could be only me seeing it that way.

On balance and having seen the side by side I think the first one is the better picture.

I like the first better too.
There is distance in it. The climber is smaller compared to the wall.
