Members are members though and everyone is equal - members can't be outsiders. The site is inclusive, not exclusive to all but a select few.
The payment just gives access to material and benefits that are visible to all, but only usable if the full membership is taken out. No hidden forums or secret places that create cliques and division.

I've seen threads resurrected after nearly 5 years but I do think the original point is valid - something for the site designers to think about. Members area that we all can see and contribute to and a subscribers area invisible to outsiders - after all Nikon User and Canon-EOS have to pay a subscription to access certain forums......
