I do believe I have just contracted a lens buying affliction hereafter as far as I am concerned called 'CLBS' (Siggy 10-20 acquired from Duncan).

I know this is terminally fatal because as soon as my Dear Wife finds out i DO know that I AM DEAD.

But you only live once and i dont intend to take it with me lol

I'm actually really regretting not buying the DA*55, the DA*16-50 and the DA 12-24 two years ago, these lenses are quite rising in price.

I can go from not buying a lens to buying one in a blink off an eye though but i know i've the range covered with good quality lenses so there is no need to buy one beside fulfilling the want.

So I wont buy any lens for some while, the K5 is on the wish-list. Then maybe save and save some more money and maybe buy a 645D over 2 year... or emigrate.

Just tell her it was an investment.
At the price you got the 10-20mm for you could sell it and make a decent profit any day of the week.

Well I think the DA 12-24 would be better though... just show her that one, i think she would then be happy you chose the Sigma

If she says she believes you it means she has chosen to let you get away with it - she doesn't really believe you for one second

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

I tend to get rid of them very quickly though.

Saying that, when my Vivitar 105mm macro get here it will never leave my side again .. it's the only lens I have ever really regretted selling.

I got LBA a few weeks ago. I admit it and don't want to be cured. Although it is delaying my K-5 purchase.

I've got heavily into primes. I swore I never would but one of my canon shooting buddies persuaded me, I then bagged a Pentax-A 50mm/1.2 and haven't looked back. bought two more primes since and there's more to come !!!!!

Partners:

Ms Smeggy has no problem with it and I wouldn't expect her to react in any other way.

Blimey- surely that is not the right attitude! I was happy to sell it to a fellow PU member, obviously on non-commercial terms. I'd hate to think this forum was at risk of turning into a sort of poor man's ebay I just hope that Paul enjoys using the lens. I'm sure he wasn't buying it with a view to profit
