As someone who has shot a few terns in his time, I have to say that this is an excellent shot. They're small birds, and they move fast.

Cheers for the comments .. just printed it out, looks pretty good.
I probably binned about the same amount but that was mainly because they were further away and needed a lot more cropping.

As one who have never been able to catch a sharp shot of a bird in flight, I admire your work, Mike. My Sigma 70-300 APO DG should be capable enough, I guess it just takes practice, practice, practice.

It is a tremendous shot but the PP is lacking, hence the dust spot below the birds tail and towards the edge of the page
I knew I'd find something wrong if I looked hard enough
