I don't really want to get embroiled in tit for tat comments, but I do really feel you have completely missed the point here Smeggy. No-one has ever said that 'no-one other than K-5iis owners can look at the pictures it produces'. What has been said is than those who own a K-5iis and have used it for an extended period of time, across a wide range of photographic situations and many thousands of images shot, are in a much better place to judge the merits of the IQ, especially when many of those owners have owned and still do own a K-5 (or two) and can therefore directly compare the output of the two cameras in all of these varied situations.It makes it even more of a pointless camera if no one other than K-5IIS owners can look at the pictures it produces.

Anyone can look at two comparison images and make a judgement between those images without owning either camera that's taken them. That's all I have done. Smeggypants wrote:

So to imply, and in some cases directly claim, I am not qualified to judge between two images because I don't own or have used one of the cameras taking them is complete and utter nonsense.
"better images" ??
"better" is a wholly subjective term and nothing to do with logic. I'm not disputing your subjective view on the differences between the cameras. You have every right to conclude that subjective view.
I have looked comparison images taken with both cameras and concluded there isn't any difference worth worrying about in those images. I don't need to own either of them to make that judgement. FWIW Gary Cabstar a professional photographer, chose to get a K-5II, not a K-5IIs becuase he felt, IIRC, the small ( IMO very small ) differences in the images he saw wasn't worth it either. He's enjoying getting a lot more keepers because of the improved AF.
Maybe it's about time you respected my opinion, like I respect yours and drop this attitude of "My opinion is superior to yours becuase I own the camera". Just a thought.

It is quite clear from your many quotes on this and other subjects that you don't tend to respect other people's opinions.
I've never had any attitude of 'mine is better than yours', I don't think you are in any position to judge this as you don't know me and have never met me, unlike many other members on here who have and who I think will be smiling to themselves when they read your remarks.
I respect Gary Cabstar's decision to buy a K-5ii, but frankly that has nothing to do with it. Do I know what Gary would say if he had a iis and shot thousands of images with it? No I don't, and neither do you.
It's a real shame you don't more often use your obvious intelligence and knowledge to contribute in a positive way more often instead of being so negative. That's just my opinion by the way.
