Dave - I've just got hold of that lens aswell. Really like the film grain effect you've got there on the pebbles. I've not seen people use that before but it looks really good.

The second day of K10D ownership and some more macro photos taken. At some point I'll put one of the other lenses I have on it and take some "normal" photos, but I didn't today
I was very pleased with how these particular 3 came out I decided to make them into desktop wallpapers click each thumbnail to download. (Although please note that they are only at 1920x1200 resolution at the moment).
(Yes, this one looks very dark on the thumbnail, but when set as wallpaper I rather liked the subtle dark purple shades with the contrasting yellow of the pollen so I didn't tweak it too much)
The Pebbles picture was cropped, converted to B&W, had the grain for Kodax T-Max 3200 added, contrast tweaked and then Ferric Sulfate Toned using Photoshop Elements and the DxO Film Pack plugin. The other two were just colour corrected in Lightroom and dropped to Photoshop for cropping and watermarking.
As with my last post and the 4 macro photos I posted there, any constructive criticism is very much welcome. (And while you're looking if you like them and want to use them as wallpapers, feel free!)
All the best,
Happy Pentax K10D owner since 21-08-2007
