It's the time factor that's always a problem for me - I can't guarantee that I'll be able to shoot something within the 2 week period. If I can find something I've done recently, I will enter it though.

If I'd seen the topic earlier I'm sure I could have managed something presentable. I have loads of pictures taken just a few weeks before the comp was listed, but the weather at lunchtime today ruled out anything - There's no WR on my K100
In the past 6 months, I've taken pics of windfarms, jackup rigs, and even out on the refinery (Management had requested photos of an old bit of kit so I had permission within a non zoned area)

A pity to see so few entries (so far?) but luckily I had a shot I took during the period of the competition that I think fits.
I've always been fascinated by thunderstorms (while doing my best to avoid them professionally). At school I once sketched a power station driven by a captured storm. In an average thunderstorm, the energy released amounts to about 10,000,000 kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to a 20-kiloton nuclear bomb. A large thunderstorm is 10 to 100 times more powerful, and can release energy equivalent to a thermonuclear device in the megaton range. The answer to our energy needs? All you need is water and heat.
