Personally I'd say the satellite dish needs to go and that the colours are too vibrant. I think there's too much going on for this to work really well. Too many black posts, the white fence, the yellow and white lines. But that's probably just me!

I'd be interested to know how others would deal with where the house on the left leaves the frame. It always seems so awkward to manage how a scene like this exits the frame.

Some great colour! I would certainly crop out the pipe on the extreme left and the car on the extreme right. In fact I might have gone for portrait format.

Funky colours! The council around here would go crazy if you painted your terraced cottage that colour

I think you don't need the whole white house, just half is enough to maintain the row of colours. At the moment the white house alone is occupying too much of the frame for me.

However I kind of think Mike is right, this will be hard to get a compelling photo out of. The main problems for me are the lamppost and the sat dish on the roof. The dish would be easy to clone out, the lamppost looks like a hell of a job.

I like the idea, but would try a different crop. I'd crop halhway between the front door and window on the white house, up to the edge of the yellow housse, leaving just a small bit of work to remove a satellite dish. The lamp post and worse dish would then disappear.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

crop out the white house completely and lose the fence and white line in the road, then find out who lives in the purple house and see if they need help

He's right, the white house isn't giving much. I hadn't realised still got the problem of where lines exit.
