G'day I was wondering if anyone has any info on the Cokin polarizer that fits in the P series holder for ND and coloured filters. ie is it any good? does it rotate fairly easily ?
Regards Don.

Hi, I've had the P holder and filters and ended up carrying an ND4 and a 2 stop hard grad (softs don't seem to do much) but not the holder. I just hold them up to lens on the few times I need them. I find all such stuff awkward in the field in such an elegant set up as my K5.

The circular polariser I had was the old film type (linear) so tended to mess with the AF requiring me to swithc to manual focus. To answer your question I found the polariser stiff to turn. Perhaps it was a poor example but i didn't get on with it. I instead use a screw in one to my 18 - 135 DA WR walk around lens.

Thanks Bill, I use manual a fair bit so that's no problem.I just dont want to spend a heap on a filter I may not use much but is there if required and I already have the ND filter holder set.

have one but it is more difficult to use than a screw on type plus if you put nd filters in front there is a risk of a colour cast particularly with cokin if they are stacked 2 or more, no longer use the polariser or cokin filters for that matter. switched to Hi-Tec for the odd occassion i may use them
odd lens or 2
