Claude Monet

I'm very fortunate to live in a very beautiful part of France. Not far away from us is a little village where Claude Monet amongst other painters used to live and work.

One of the places he used to go to paint is where the Petit Creuse joins the Creuse River. I went for a walk there this morning and saw that the local council has put up information about him at various points along the river - made me look at things differently today.

Just wish I had the talent to do it justice.

That's a good tip and it's just down the road from Crozant. I feel an Autumn weekend trip coming on, although I expect the rain will have swelled the river and covered up those lovely rocks by then.

Indeed it is a good tip. Only just about 90 minutes away for me, too.

Sounds like an idea for a PU France meeting .
