Do you pan the guy you singled out? Handy he was heading in the opposite direction to everyone else

Very good Ken I like it a lot , The busy guy in a hurry and the sharply in focus feet of the three people in the foreground and the rest of them with motion blur give the whole image a surreal quality top stuff...jeff..

You used a video type head on a tripod and panned to follow the guy in focus whilst setting a slow speed of about 1/8th second-1/15th second?

Very nicely done regardless.

The background is also sharp so it cannot be panning - maybe you are using the new 'blur large bellies' app?

1. Except for the guy with the brief case - had everybody else just started to be tele-ported to the star ship Enterprise?

2. Did your camera have a migraine? - that's just how my vision goes when I get one.

I suspect I may know the answer as I managed a similar effect on Pickering rail station platform a while back - but then again - intrigued to find out.

Then the background is also heading along with him or it would also be blurred.

There is also another subject heading in the same direction.

Best regards

The man's raincoat is actually tied to that bollard
so he can't move!

Nothing like a good raincoat this weather to keep you
dry and cool...

Like Algernon said...I noticed that his coat appeared 'stiff' and had a line that appears to join a line from the bollard...so is he perfectly still...holding a pose in effect, the 'flapping' coat leading you to believe that he is moving forward, whilst the other old timers are actually walking forward. The shutter speed must have had to be very slow..say half a second?

I noticed the raincoat thing before I read Algernons comment...honest.
