Nice photos. They may be aliens, but they are photographic.

If so, I'd agree. But I find that squirrels aren't that easy to get really good pictures of, for some reason. They jump about, spoiling the composition, and making it hard to focus.
These pictures tell a story, for sure, but they all suffer from the same problem - they're out of focus.
I'd set up the bait again, and work a lot harder at accurate focusing.

Apart from the focus (which I know has been mentioned so I won't dwell on it), this is an excellent set of shots, they really tell a cheeky story! Will really look forward to Cheeky Squirrel mkII!

The first two images in this series are not sharp at all which suggests camera shake to me so I had a look at the EXIF data.
Your shake reduction was 'not ready' in both. When you half press the shutter button you need to wait for the SR ready symbol in the viewfinder before pressing the shutter button fully to take the shot.
Shots 3 & 4 show the SR system as 'stabilized'.

Moving swiftly on and going back to the squirrels, one tip I would give is use some smaller bird deed rather than peanuts. In my experience they run off with peanuts to go bury or eat them elsewhere, but with smaller seeds, placed where you want the photo (a nice log for example) they tend to sit there and gradually eat through them.
