Cheap monopod Needed

i'm looking for a light waight mono pod with ajustable top has any one got one or no of a good make to recormend

£14.99 for a pod with tilt swivel head, very good value and surprisingly well made.

They only have one at £12.99 but the reciews don't rate it for a SLR

looks like they dropped the price since I bought mine

is the one I have, no problems with my K10D and 80-320, can't comment on suitability for anything heavier and as always YMMV.

I quite fancy one of these. Couple of questions if I may:

- is the foot rest thing at the bottom detachable?
- does the head come off - I'd like to be able to put a ball/socket one on it.

I tried a ball 'n socket on my Manfrotto monopod. Result, awful to use.

The only articulation I really need on a monopod is unidirectional (side to side) to simply level the camera right to left.

any cane/walkingstick can be converted with a drill bit, a nut, bolt, and washer, and some epoxy.

I have a telescopic paintbrush handle that usuallt holds a shotgun microphone, made that way. have done birdseye view shots (usually with canon pro one) in teathered mode. I mount the rig with a ballast weight to a boomstand.

I've seen some leki trekking poles with removable handle and a monopod screw underneath. A bit of a pain to use because you have to unscrew the top each time you want to set up. Wish they have a quick release mechanism.
