Charity Head Shave.

Local Radio Phoenix FM presenter Paul Coogan grew his hair for two years, then on Saturday had it shaved off in aid of the Poppy Appeal. Veteran Corporal John Jones was there to collect the sponsorship money. K10D with 18-55mm lens ISO 200, bounce flash with my Metz 45CL3

I really like the first two - they capture the spirit of the event very well. The third looks just a wee bit wooden (to borrow an acting term) to me - perhaps if the money had been placed in the collection tin with the ends sticking out it wouldn't look quite so staged. But I'm not a photojournalist so what do I know?

Thanks for your input hefty : The photography is the EASY bit- it's the IDEAS that's difficult! Next similar job I do I'll try your idea- let's hope the Brentwood Gazette staffer doesn't get the same idea! Mine are for the Yellow Advertiser and the Brentwood Recorder coming out this Friday.

I'll keep an eye out for them peter as I get the yellow advertiser here..

I have to admit my hair is longer than his (midriff length roughly) but it wont be coming off again, not even for charity! I did it once years ago and always regretted getting it cut off.. in fact the hairdresser kept asking me if I was sure all the way through.
