Excellent shots Kris, 1 was very well spotted and great detail in the dress. And although normally statue photos are not my cup of tea number 3 is very good, great light on the figure. But the best of the bunch for me is number 2, a fantastic subject, great background and the grain is lovely.

What a terrific set. I particularly like the wedding but would, I think, try to crop out the guy on the right. The second one has rare quality.

Kris, with #2 I think you may have missed a trick with the similar pose of the statue, behind the main subject. Although, I wonder on how close your subject was to that statue?
Using film, and shooting at a fast-ish film speed, and setting a small aperture? I wonder.

All excellent, but I love the second picture. Disagree with paulyrichard. I think the background being out of focus and grainy isolates the girl perfectly.
I would never have guessed that was a chromogenic film. I must try some of that. It gives nice punchy, gritty results. Almost looks like pushed Tri-X.

Dave, even her dress mimics the shape of the statues plinth. Analogy like this is very uncommon or rare. She is quite statuesque herself.

Actually I was aiming exactly for the girl and the statue symmetry but rather overdid the aperture. I should have stopped down a little more. I wanted the statue to be out of focus enough to not clash, but be visible enough to make the visual pun. As it is, I rather like the shot anyway. And isn't that 135mm f/2.5 lens a cracker...

I'm still amused by the first one - the Wedding.
I'm fascinated by the onlookers - the guy who is digging in his bag for something , the one sitting on the top of the wall/parapet with his chin propped on his hand while he stares intently at the girl .
It's a real study in peoples' reactions

It is pretty common to have one's wedding photos taken in Central Park, often several days in advance of the actual wedding. NY's Chinese community especially go for this. On this occasion it was a Saturday and she probably had just got, or was about to get married. I still cannot believe those heels... walking up the aisle in those must have been a challenge!

A great set of pictures! I love 1 and 2, 1 in particular. Mind you, the bride doesn't look very happy. Maybe her heels are giving her problems already? She's probably thinking of ways of getting rid of them as soon as possible.

Three of these images have just been accepted to the PPG. Sadly my favourite, the bride, didn't make it. Three images in the PPG from one 24 exposure roll of film seems like a good hit rate to me!
