Catch in Focus on K3ii

using an MF m42 lens cannot get CIF to work. have camera af/mf switch on AF-S but camera defaults to MF thereby allowing shutter release no matter where focus point is and i do have AF-S set to focus priority but camera over riding that selection it seems, AF set to AF 1 in menu. Any help appreciated.

Found the answer ,put a small extension tube between lens and camera.
