Cool Thanks for the great response folks! I had a good laugh reading through these This isn't really a competition, but I can't help judging it like one. Probably the closest I'll get to judging a competition! These are just personal opinions, and this whole thing is just a bit of fun, but here goes:

1st - Dr Orloff for "Next one to call me Skippy gets it."

2nd - Hefty for "...so I said to him there'll be no more tying me down for you Sport, and this is the didgeridoo I caused all the damage with."

3rd - Don for "Honey... tell Joey to go sleep over at his friends house tonite and come see what I bought!"

1st and 2nd were very close, but I eventually choose Dr O's because it's shorter

And a couple of special awards:

The 'straight out of left field' award goes to AlienGrove for "I told you, you look much better as a unicorn!"

And the Gary Larson (adult version) award goes to Coker for "Brian was very impressed with his Three legged Thing: even with his very large ball-head & all his other equipment, he felt quite solid & ready for anything."

I didn't start this with the intention of a regular competition, but if Dr O wants to keep it going then I for one would try and take part.

No funny captions from me, just a little travel tip for those who go near 'roos. When they stand up un their tip-toes, like this one, they're getting ready to rip your guts out with that big middle toe. Beware!
Ok, I'll try...

"Oi, Doris. I told ya we did the right thing, leaving when the bush fire came through. Here's cousin Barry's tail"

Haha good one I should have waited a bit longer - I was hoping our two resident comedians in the gallery might enter! (That's you and Bobinalorry , in case you're wondering )

This roo was actually mid-jump in this photo, his legs are just about to leave the ground. He was spending a long time throwing this stick around, and apparently does it every day. I have some mid-air ones as well which I'll post when I get home.

I spoke briefly to a zoo worker who said this guy was a new arrival and had only just come out of a month's hiding. They are expecting a mate for him in the next month or two which they hope will calm him down.

Bob's monopod just wasn't upto scratch; even with his centre column fully extended, he still got a crick in his neck!
