canon and pentax

I saw a photo today where the person said they used a canon camera, and a pentax lens!

Is that possible?

Why would you want to :
Just ditch the body and get a Pentax to go with the lense

Seriously, though, sounds funny, unless you can somehow mount M42 screwthreads onto a Canon. None of the autofocus lenses would work at all - Canon designs the motors in the lense, whereas Pentax has the motor in the body.

Maybe it was a typo?

The SRB Film Sevices Catalogue lists a Canon EOS body to M42 Lens Adaptor at £24.75.
Also listed is a Canon FD Body to M42 Lens Adaptor at £15.96
There are limitations to their use and it would be advisable to check with them before ordering.
