Can you do the impossible - by tomorrow?

I have been asked if I can Photoshop an image so it will be suitable for as the front page of the order of service at a funeral and memorial service.

I was asked to remove another person, a chair, and some other parts extend the background which had shadows everywhere and generally tidy up.

Not really a problem I thought, until the "original arrived" - my first question was, can I get the ex-camera file, not one which has been reduced in size, but I already had it.

The file was a 164 kB jpg of medium quality and the image size was just 817x564 and only a quarter of that was what was needed. It had been taken with an iPad !

After 3 or 4 hours and a couple of false starts, I believe I have delivered something usable ... Given the quality of the original, I think I have done an excellent job.

three steps to making the impossible possible...
!) do the best job you can with what they give you.
2) pour drinks before showing client.
3) take check to bank before client sobers up...

then it's no longer your problem.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Not so easy!

The deceased is my Brother's, wife's mother ... so no check forthcoming. I will be at the funeral, so my work will be "on show" but no name in the corner, and the wake will be dry!
