Can I do this? (Pentax lens with film camera)

Super 8 cameras use relatively short focal lengths, so if you could adapt a 35mm lens it would act as a telephoto, probably quite a powerful one.
It sounds like hard work, especially as the lenses will also be extremely large compared with Super8 ones.
SRB of Luton might be able to provide or make you an adapter, but if the latter then it could be expensive.
Only you can decide if it's worth it! Good luck!

You can't go the other way; ie: fit a bayonet lens to a screw camera (unless you take the mount off completely) because the throat of the bayonet lens is too wide. You would not get infinity focus; the lens would become a permanent macro.
Also, it is quite likely that the thread on the cine is not Pentax 49mm. It may be Leica thread, in which case you might be able to fit an old Leica lens. That should give your movies a touch of class.

Thanks guys. Im not shure about the thread. I just did a search on the net and i seems that some older Carena SLR cameras have pentax thread, and i thought maybe also the cine camera had this.
I'll have to look into the Leica thread possibility, though. Would be cool.

I think it's highly unlikely that a cine camera of this type will have either a Pentax or leica thread, which are 42mm and 39mm resepctively. I would expect the camera throat to be much smaller than this - is it?

I will try to post a picture later this evening of the camera and lens.
It would be 42mm in diameter, right?

I can only quote the following from the latest McKeowan's guide:
"Carena Zoomex - 1962. 8mm spool camera. Electric eye, manual or aoto exposure control. Angenieux f1.8 7.5-35mm lens. Spring motor wound by turning grip. Reflex viewing. $20-30"
Looking at the pictures, adapting camera lenses to this does not look a likely prospect. However, I am not an expert on this and perhaps if you phoned one of the classic camera repairers they might be able to offer some advice?

Yes, it was more or less just this "if you can take the lens of, then you must be able to put another on there"-thought I got. I see that it might be difficult however.
Thank you for all your help.

I need some help. I have this older Super 8 filmcamera type Carena 7710 with a screw mount lense. And I'm wondering if I can use my lenses I have with my Pentax P30 kit for this filmcamera.
I know there is a screw mount to k mount, but can you go the other way?
Wolud I need anything else ?
Regards.
