Camera Selling: Split Lens and Body?

I've decided to have a clear out of some bits and pieces that aren't getting much use and was wondering as I haven't really sold much camera gear before (only bought) whether it's better to split up the lenses and sell these seperately or to offer as a whole package?

Most of this is non-Pentax gear so not appropriate to offer on here. One is a full Olympus kit with the classic prime set. Hence I'm wondering.....

I suggest eBay. Despite the charges, still the most effective way to reach the world!

Yep, aiming for evilBay, just considering my plan of attack. Have quite a few lenses......

Possibly only keeping my 2 Spotmatics, an F70 and a Program A for film use. So almost pure Pentax!

I'm not sure what Olympus buyers are like, but I seem to see Pentax lenses alone going for more than lens and body combinations.

Always split, IMHO most buyers will only be bidding for the lens anyway so you are effectively giving the camera away; thus increasing postage for little or no gain. Sad as it seems I now have quite a few bodies which will probably be thrown away

And although evilbay is a VERY difficult site to trade with in a lot of ways, still possibly the widest way to reach an 'Audience@

The BIG problem is that they tend to 'dictate'PayPal' as a means of payment, which of course they will as they are basically owned by the same people!

Split. I've sold body/lens combos on there a couple of times but only when I couldn't be bothered to make multiple listings - you'll always make more money selling seperately regardless of brand in my experience.

Yes. Splitting will get you more money, but I'm a sentimental old thing, and I don't like to seperate a camera and lens that came out of the factory together and have been happily 'married' for maybe 40 years.
No man is worth his salt, who has not been banned from at least one Forum, and two Flickr groups.

Same here. I won't sell the body if I buy a camera for the lens, and I've even bought cameras specifically because I had other original bits to fit them (like my Spotmatic).
