Thanks for sharing! Had not seen this before and wonder why it is not used for marketing as in the car industry? Or maybe I just have not noticed?

A good result. I wonder if it takes into account the numbers of actual brands. We always see a plethora of Canikons out there and few Pentax so on the basis of numbers alone, I would expect Pentax to be up there as there is a smaller sample user group.

Why is the thread about camera reliability when the poll is about customer satisfaction?

Only guessing but perhaps because the report states "Pentax performs particularly well in durability and reliability"

Surveys usually do otherwise the results are totally inaccurate, but when you look at those figures there's not really that much difference between them, there's only Panasonic that drops significantly lower than the others.

What would be interesting to know is did they take into account the number of people who have swapped from another brand because they weren't happy because we all know that changing brands makes you a better and happier photographer

JD Power are highly regarded for their automobile surveys.
So i think you can be sure that they conducted this survey
correctly.

Maybe I should have clarified my comment to actual numbers of a specific brand but glad you jumped in to sort it out.

For a professional sports tog or bird/wildlife tog, I'm quite sure that changing from Pentax to Canikon has made them feel better and happier. Just a minute though, they would never have bought Pentax for those uses in the first place, would they?

But then a Pentax user has to jump ship on a regular basis when it comes to lenses or flash guns or does that not count?

What camera, at one time, was pretty much standard equipment for many photographic colleges? The Pentax K1000.

And why?

Simple. The K1000 is a robust, simple to operate, reliable, workhorse that forces the photographer to THINK about every single frame. And given my own experience of Pentax cameras over the years, I do not need to be told WHY I should want to own a Pentax. A Pentax is a photographer's camera.

And don't forget the Spotmatic, earlier than the K1000. I still have (but rarely use) the Spotmatic which I bought in the USA in the mid 1960s. Still working ok in spite of a couple of bad tumbles during its lifetime.
