I don't know it, but from the website it looks highly promicing!
Some clubs can be very cliquey, with members hoarding tips that help them in the cometitions, but I suspect most more reasonable. This one claims to have workshops & mentoring, which suggests there'll be no secrecy.
I beleive it's how you click with the other members that makes the biggest difference to the value you get from a club, and the only way to find that out is to meet them.
Give it a go - trial membership is apparently £2 a week, so you won't have lost much.

I know this won't help you Phil unless you fancy travelling 50 miles once a week, but as soon as I retired I joined my local camera club. Excellent decision. Very friendly with enthusiasts of all levels from ex. professional photographer down to compact user. Everyone is treated the same. No clique's or equipment snobbery whatsoever. As Mike says, go ahead give it a try. As like me, it could be one of the best photography decisions you ever make.

Hi Mike
it went well a few of the numbers did short presentations on photos taken to get there acridation and a leson on macro on the cheap all in all a good night so i will be going back next week when the talk is from a local wedding photographer
