Yeah - that's what I'm worried about - it's so darn small

I bought a cheap cable remote off E-bay. After 2 or 3 weeks it packed up. I got a Stanley knife, cut off the moldings from the mini jack plug and re soldered the broken wires back. wrapped in loads of black insulting tape. works fine now

Pentax used to supply a strap with two little pockets on it - one for the remote and one for the eyepiece cover. Sadly they no longer do that, and I have now switched to a new, more comfortable strap. Kata make a strap with two similar pockets. very useful, but not the strap I chose .
My remote now lives in my SD card case, a natty little case I acquired when I bought a card a while ago.

As for the wireless remote F, I was always afraid of losing it out of my camera bag, now its safely tucked away in the grip And like Ken, I've had mine quite a few years (10+) and still on the original battery.

No problem getting things in - and I'd squeeze them out like from a tube of toothpaste . Maybe smaller fingers helped too.

Thanks for all your comments - so much food for thought!!
I'll have to re-read the posts and the links so I can finally decide which remote to go for. I'll give up on cable switches as I've somehow broken 2 over the last 3-4 years!!
Cheers
John

It is working well, no probem.
Just I cant understand why isnt there any loop to put a ribbon through it and have it round my neck.
When I want to change the settings, I put it away into pocket...and then I have to search for it from there again and check if it is in right direction in my hand. uncomfortable.
The button could be bit larger too - in the case I have got gloves in my hands. Winter ...you know is not too warm.
